As the owner and founder of Fox & Hen Fine Poultry Co I raise and sell juvenile pullets to the backyard hobbyist community. AB 928 will affect my livelihood — the business I started when I was 14 years old. This business is my lifeblood and the lifeblood of my family. It is my only income source. While pullets (females) are what I sell, when I get straight run (unsexed) birds in, I often have many more than 25 cockerels onsite mixed in with those pullets. This bill threatens to devastate my small business — the same kind of small business the government claims to want to protect and preserve.
